Blues Settle for Tie in Colorado

November 10, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

A third-period goal by Joe Sakic lifted the Colorado Avalanche into a 3-3 tie with the Blues. St. Louis is winless in Denver since 1996. Reed Low scored his first NHL goal for the Blues, when Colorado goaltender Patrick Roy misplayed the puck and gave Low an open net. Pierre Turgeon scored twice for St. Louis, which is now 0-6-2 in its last eight trips to Denver. Roman Turek made 19 saves as the Blues extended their unbeaten streak to a franchise record nine games. They are 7-0-2 over that stretch. The Blues play Saturday in Vancouver.
