Missouri has gained three new congressmen. State Representative Todd Aiken will replace Jim Talent, who gave up his seat to run for governor. He defeated State Senator Ted House. State Senator Lacy Clay will replace his father as Missouri’s first district congressman. Bill Clay was the dean of the Missouri congressional delegation. And State Senator Sam Graves of Tarkio will replace Pat Danner, who is retiring from her northwest Missouri congressional seat. He defeated Danner’s son, Steve, who ran as a democrat.
