A Crystal City hospital in danger of closing it’s doors has dodged a bullet. Jefferson Memorial Hospital has announced it passed a recent state inspection, after poor ratings during two previous trials. Inspectors complained about quality assurance and infectious control during visits to the facility over the summer and last fall. Had the hospital failed this week’s two-day walk-through, it would have lost its Medicare funding and probably closed.
