Two dead at Baptist parsonage

November 3, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

An apparent murder-suicide at a Kansas City parsonage has left two dead. They are the wife and daughter of the Baptist minister who lived there. Witnesses heard gunfire yesterday morning, and police found the bodies of Mary Lee Sooter, 56, and Jenny Sooter, 24. They are not saying which victim fired the shots that took two family members from the Reverend Tom Sooter. He pastors the Eagle Heights Baptist Church. The former Kansas City policeman was questioned after the deaths. Reverend Sooter was at the next door church when it occurred.
