Medicaid fraud convictions are one of the feathers in the cap of Jay Nixon. The incumbent attorney general says his eight years in the office have produced some great accomplishments. He says the Medicaid fraud control unit has been a great success. Nixon says he’s also been successful reforming the state’s Second Injury Fund, and in helping coordinate the battle against methamphetamine. Nixon brushes off questions about his interest in the U.S. Senate in 2002 if Jean Carnahan wins a two- year appointment next week. He says he intends to serve the entire four years as attorney general. Nixon faces Sam Jones on November 7th.
