Lawmakers captive in D.C.

November 2, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Time is running out for Missouri’s Capitol Hill lawmakers to get in some campaigning prior to election day. Senators and members of Congress are being kept in the nation’s capital because Congress has yet to pass an appropriations bill to keep the government running. Senator Kit Bond says President Clinton is vetoing everything that comes his way because the president is playing politics. A continuing resolution that would fund the government through November 14th has been sent to the White House.
