A former employee of a Springfield armored car service is charged with taking $150,000 in the robbery of one of the company’s armored cars earlier this week. Being held on $2 million bond is Marvin Shelley. Investigators have recovered the blue car used in the holdup but the money is still missing. Police say Shelley pulled beside the armored car as guards unloaded it, pointed a gun at the pair, and forced them to hand over several bank bags. He never got out of his car.
