Ameren gas prices headed up

October 27, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

People who heat their homes with gas from AmerenUE will soon see their monthly bills going up. The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved the utility’s request for an increase of natural gas revenues. The Commission’s Kevin Kelly says this increase has nothing to do with the higher costs of gas to the utility. The average monthly increase per customer will be about $3. AmerenUE and other gas companies have filed additional requests for price increases based on higher costs they have to pay for gas from wholesalers during the winter months.
