In a stop in Kansas City, democrat presidential candidate Al Gore harkens back to the 1992 campaign and it’s motto: “It’s the economy.” Gore told his audience last night the Reagan-Bush years were times of high deficits and recessions. But the last eight years have been a marked contrast. Since then, he boast big surpluses instead of deficits, and a tripling of the stock market. Gore pledges he’ll balance the budget and pay down the debt every year.
