A truck carrying nearly 1,000 pigs has overturned near downtown Kansas City. Yesterday’s spill made life difficult for interstate drivers and, of course, the pigs involved. Dozens of pigs were killed, but no people were injured. The driver of the truck was cited for taking a turn too fast. Kate Asher, the director of Kansas City’s animal control division, says the pigs were relatively small, so they were easier to round up.
