Kurt Warner will have surgery on his broken finger today. The procedure means he will miss at least three weeks, and probably four to six. Doctors will place pins in Warner’s finger, that will remain in place for three weeks. Once they are taken out, Warner can resume throwing, but will probably need more time to regain strength in the hand.Warner broke the pinky finger of his throwing hand Sunday while taking a snap. Warner says he hopes to return as soon as the pins are removed. In the meantime, Trent Green takes over as the starter. Green, of course, was supposed to start for the Rams last season, until he was felled by a knee injury. The Rams received better news about running back Marshall Faulk. Faulk has a shoulder bruise with just a slight separation, and should be able to play Sunday against San Francisco.
