Jean tapped for husband’s role

October 24, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

It’s been known since Governor Carnahan died in that plane crash south of St. Louis that his name would remain on the November 7th ballot, and we’ve been told that Governor Roger Wilson will choose someone should Carnahan get the most votes. Now, the Governor has told us the name of the person he wants to choose. It’s Jean Carnahan, the widow of the Governor. No word from Mrs. Carnahan as to whether she would be interested in accepting the position should it be offered. The Governor says he understands she needs time to consider it.
