From the good timing department: the Rams announced before Sunday’s game that defensive guru Bud Carson is coming out of retirement to try to fix the Rams defense. Not a moment too soon. The Rams gave up 468 yards of offense and 54 points against the Chiefs Sunday. Rams coach Mike Martz says Carson will probably have the final say on defensive matters. Carson had declined an offer from the Rams a couple of weeks ago for health reasons, but says he is feeling better now.
