The Great Lebanon Pigeon Hunt, an effort to reduce Lebanon’s pigeon population, is underway with this month’s opening salvo in the quest to knock off some of the dirty birds. Jim Morgan of the South Valley Sportsmen’s Club is leading the effort. He says shooting is better than using poison. Nine pigeons were bagged in the opening hour of last Saturday’s shoot. The Hunt will continue on random days through December.
