Hancock money coming

October 23, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Hancock Amendment refund checks totaling close to $99 million dollars are being mailed out. The mass mailing began last week and will run for the next eight weeks. The checks are signed by Treasurer Bob Holden, who happens to be running for Governor. But Department of Revenue Director Quentin Wilson doesn’t expect that to influence anyone’s vote. The state has mailed taxpayers more than $972 million dollars in Hancock Amendment refunds since fiscal year 1995.
