Governor Carnahan’s long-time aide isn’t being forgotten in the mourning over this week’s fatal plane crash. State democratic party leader Roy Temple says newly sworn-in Governor Roger Wilson is among the state officials honoring the life of Chris Sifford. He called the Sifford family the morning after the fatal accident. Temple and Sifford grew up in Missouri politics–they even went to the same elementary school in Puxico. Ironically, Temple says he and Sifford used to joke they wouldn’t want to be forgotten if they ever died with the governor, and he wants to be sure that doesn’t happen. The governor’s son, Randy, also died in last week’s plane crash.
