Darryl Kile was the Cardinals’ ace this year, and they’ve rewarded him with a contract extension. The Cardinals have picked up Kile’s option for next year, and given him a deal for two more years. The total package is three years, 22.5 million dollars. Kile won 21 games this year, including a playoff win over Atlanta. He pitched 232 and 1/3 innings, the second most in his career, and had a 3.91 ERA.
