Coach Joel Quenneville wanted improvement on the power play. He got that, and a lot more, as the Blues whipped the Los Angeles Kings 7-1. Seven different players scored, and the Blues tallied three power play goals in seven chances. Chris Pronger had a career high four assists, and Craig Conroy, Pavol Demitra, Jochen Hecht, Mike Eastwood, Scott Young, Michal Handzus and Pierre Turgeon all scored for St. Louis. Al MacInnis added three assists as a dozen players registered a point. The Blues killed off all seven L.A. power plays, and scored a short-handed goal. The win keeps the Blues tied for first place in the division with Nashville. The Blues host the Blackhawks tomorrow night.
