Friends, relatives, and ordinary Missourians who loved and respected their governor get a chance to pay their respects today. Governor Carnahan’s casket will lie in state at the Governor’s Mansion. The doors will open at noon. Governor’s spokesman Jerry Nachtigal says Mrs. Carnahan and several members of the Carnahan family will be there to greet some of the visitors. Governor Roger Wilson plans to be among the first to pay his respects. Also near the front of the line will be members of the governor’s staff and Carnahan’s campaign staff. Public visitation hours end at 8 p.m. Following that, an honor guard will stand watch over the Governor’s casket before tomorrow’s funeral at the State Capitol. —- Listen to Bob Priddy’s report from Carnahan visitation at: https://www.missourinet.com/audio_archive.htm
