Wilson sworn-in as Governor

October 18, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

(Jefferson City) Lieutenant Governor Roger Wilson has been sworn in as the state’s 52nd Governor. Wilson took the oath of office about 1:15 this morning after the Jefferson County Medical Examiner announced the positive identification of Governor Carnahan’s body. The examiner also announced it had identified the body of Carnahan’s campaign aide Chris Sifford. Carnahan, his son, Randy, and Sifford were killed Monday night in a plane crash in Jefferson County. The examiner’s office says no other identifications have been made.
