Hundreds of mourners gathered in St. Louis to hold a candlelight vigil in honor of Governor Carnahan. The vigil last night memorialized the governor, killed in an airplane crash south of St. Louis Monday evening. Creve Coeur resident Stan Edelstein said he had worked for the governor for the last several years. He says he will be “sorely, sorely” missed. Many of Carnahan’s fellow Democrats attended the vigil, held before the presidential debates on the campus of Washington University. Among the speakers were Secretary of State Bekki Cook and democratic gubernatorial candidate Bob Holden.
