Lieberman mourns Carnahan

October 17, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Vice-presidential candidate Joe Lieberman says he’s saddened by the loss of his friend Mel Carnhanan, whom he calls a great governor. He says he especially feels for First Lady Jean Carnahan. Lieberman calls her “extraordinarily strong and decent.” He says the situation is just heartbreaking. Lieberman appeared on CNN this morning. The third presidential debate is set for tonight at Washington University in St. Louis. Lieberman says that may be difficult for the people of Missouri.
