West-Central Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton deplores the attack on a U.S. Navy ship in port on the Arabian Peninsula. The Defense Department says a small rubber boat filled with explosive rammed the rear of the U.S.S. Cole. The explosion today blew a 20-by-40 foot hole in the hull of the Cole, killing at least four Americans, and injuring dozens of others. The attack occurred on the Gulf of Aden, which is at the mouth of the Red Sea in the Middle East.
