Granny D walks for Prop B

October 12, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

She’s reached the halfway point, more or less, in her walk across Missouri. Doris Haddock, better known as 90-year-old “Granny D,” left Kansas City on September 25th and is making the trek across the state to St. Louis in support of Proposition B, Missouri’s campaign finance reform initiative. She arrived in Jefferson City yesterday and says she likes what she’s seen of the state so far. The walk across Missouri is a bit of a stroll for Granny D. She previously walked 3,200 miles across the country to call for campaign finance reform.
