Carnahan convenes meth summit

October 12, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Praise from Governor Carnahan for the success being achieved in the war on methamphetamine. The fourth Governor’s Summit on Meth is underway in Jefferson City. Carnahan says the cooperation of federal, state, and local law enforcement officials, coupled with what is learned at the annual summits produce results. He says more than 900 meth labs were closed down in 1999 alone. The Governor says that while he’s very pleased with the great strides that have been made, there is still much work to do.
