Jail killings headed to trial

October 3, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The three people charged with killing two Randolph County jailers last June have gone through their preliminary hearing. A judge has ordered them to go to trial. Michael Tisius and Tracie Bulington are accused of killing jailers Jason Acton and Leon Egley while trying to break county jail inmate Roy Vance out of the jail in Huntsville in late June. All three are charged with the murders. Randolph County Prosecutor Mike Fusselman says he’ll start evaluating whether to go for the death penalty in each one of the cases now.
