Environmental crews are on the scene of an oil spill in Springfield. The Department of Natural Resources has been working around- the-clock for nearly two days to clean up a 5,000 gallon spill in the Jordan Creek. Crews on the scene says they haven’t seen any adverse affect on fish yet and estimate they have cleaned up 4,000 gallons of oil so far. The situation began as a case of vandalism. Someone opened the valves on nearby storage tanks.
