Some local health departments are warning of a possible flu vaccine shortage this winter. But the state health department says there’s no reason to go running to a doctor or a health department to get a shot. The department’s Sue Denny says the flu season is not really close yet. She says a flu shot now might not last throughout the flu season. She says it’s better to wait at least a month. Denny thinks supplies will be enough for the people who really need the vaccines, if the supplies are managed well.
