$700,000 ordered in police shooting

Three Kansas City policemen have been ordered to pay $700,000 to the mother of a 13-year-old boy who was shot to death two years ago. Timothy Wilson was driving a stolen pickup truck when police chased him until the truck got stuck in some mud. Police say they fired at the boy when he tried to run over them and they thought he was reaching for a gun. The lawyer for Wilson’s mother says police planted the gun and gave differing accounts of what happened.
