Cards May Clinch Tonight, But Not Early

September 19, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

This could be the day the Cardinals clinch a division title. The magic number for St. Louis is two, which means it could be a waiting game for the Cards. If they beat the Astros at home tonight, they would have to wait around to find out the result of the Reds contest from San Francisco. The Reds beat the Giants last night, leaving the Cards just a half game behind the Giants for the best record in the Naional League. Pat Hentgen starts for the Cards tonight against the Astros.
