The Royals mustered just four hits and lost to Texas 8-1. Rangers starter Doug Davis allowed three of those hits in 7 and 1/3 innings to get the win, and was helped by Rafael Palmeiro’s 36th home run of the season. The Royals got their only run on a first inning sacrifice fly by Carlos Beltran. Kansas City has scored just four runs in the last three games. Mac Suzuki went 6 and 1/3 innings for the Royals, allowing four runs, but just two were earned, as he fell to 8-10.
