Troubled trooper tripped up again

September 12, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

A member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol is in trouble with the law. Trooper Sean Wood has been arrested on sexual abuse charges following an investigation by the Highway Patrol. Patrol spokesman Lieutenant Tim Hull says Wood was nabbed last evening. Wood faces two counts of sexual abuse, which is a class “C” felony. Investigators say Wood assaulted an ex-girlfriend in 1997. Wood nearly lost his job earlier this year after getting a teenaged waitress from Hooters drunk, and having sex with her at a Springfield motel.
