The lawyer for Earl Ringo, Jr., argued before the state supreme court that the jury that found Ringo guilty of two murders at a Columbia restaurant in 1998 was tainted. Janet Thompson says the jury contained no black jurors. Thompson says Boone County Prosecutor Kevin Crane used the legal discretion given him to strike from the jury the only possible black juror. Ringo killed an employee of the Columbia Ruby Tuesday restaurant, and a delivery driver on July 4th.
