We could see more foreign bucks flowing to Missouri soon. State Economic Development Director Joe Driscoll has been in Europe the last week, trying to drum-up new business. He says a German company may open up shop, but he isn’t offering details. Driscoll and several businessmen from around the state also met with companies already operating in Missouri. He credits past trips with expansions at German-based NordeniaUSA in the Cape Girardeau area, and at Powell’s Transformers, a Belgian company operating in Washington, Missouri. More than 60,000 Missourians work for 250 foreign companies in the state.
