The state gaming commission might ask the legislature to toughen one of the state gaming laws next year. Executive Director Mel Fisher says a law needs to be written banning improper contacts between commissioners and representatives of casinos. He says the commission can’t do it only with rules. Testimony at a commission hearing last week revealed a former commission chairman had not reported dozens of contacts with a lawyer for Station Casinos, as ethics rules require.
