A heavy traffic weekend is likely to be even heavier because of the hot weather. Highway patrol captain Chris Ricks says it may be unbearably hot, but that won’t keep people at home. He says cars are more likely to break down so they’ll have extra officers on duty looking out for stranded drivers. He recommends anyone with a broken-down car to stay put instead of walking for help. Ricks says putting on your flashers and raising your hood is the fastest way to get help.
