The latest death related to the hot weather in Kansas City is a 68-year old man. The city health department’s Sheryl Woods says a heat buildup in the man’s house–and in his body–caused his death. The man had only a fan, which Woods says never let the house cool down. She advises against fans in such weather, because they tend to circulate hot air.
