Turnovers hurt the Griffons of Missouri Western in their opener. Quarterback Kasey Waterman was picked off twice by South Dakota’s Russel Burwell, each time setting up a score. South Dakota beat Missouri Western 17-13. Western lost its opener for the first time in ten years.
