Chiefs Hand Richardson Tailback Job

August 29, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Chiefs coach Gunther Cunningham continues to shuffle his starting lineup as the team’s opener against Indianapolis draws near. The Kansas City Star reports Cunningham has moved Tony Richardson from fullback, to starting halfback, replacing Mike Cloud, though Cunningham is not confirming the change. Quarterback Warren Moon has been given the role of #2 quarterback, leaving Todd Collins as the number three man.The Chiefs say Elvis Grbac’s sore ribs are not a problem, and he will start Sunday against the Colts. Defensive tackle Chester McGlockton and tight end Jason Dunn were the only players who missed practice Monday with injuries.
