NFL teams lose an average of 19 players each offseason, and Super Bowl teams often lose even more because other teams go after their players, but the Rams have just 11 new faces from last January. On cutdown day, the Rams offered no surprises. They released five players to get down to the 53-man roster limit. St. Louis returns 19 of 22 starters from a season ago, and 42 of 53 players who were on the Super Bowl roster. The only missing starters are offensive linemen Fred Miller and Mike Gruttadauria, and safety Billy Jenkins.
