Kansas City schools improve

The Kansas City school district is crediting Saturday school with the district’s improved test scores. Students are doing better in new test scores released in math, science, and communications. That’s especially important for a district trying to win reaccreditation from the state. Superintendent Benjamin Demps credits a Saturday school program it started in January for much of the improvement. He says teachers also deserve a lion’s share of the credit.
