After a rain delay of more than two hours at the start, Edmonds wasted little time jumping on Andy Ashby, with a two-run homer in the first. The Cardinals blew open a 3-1 game with 3 runs in the 6th, 1 in the 7th and 4 more in the 8th, when the Braves committed three errors.
