The Division of Family Services today revoked the license of the Kansas City foster home that lost two small children in a fatal fire. Department of Social Services spokeswoman Deb Hendricks says the Early Childhood Center didn’t have enough people on staff when the fire broke out. Other reasons cited for the revocation: The only staff member on duty was asleep and a nine-year-old girl got access to lighter fluid used to start the fire. Two sisters, 6 and 2 years old, died in Saturday’s fire. Eleven other children escaped.
