It looks as though a proposed exposition center for Springfield is being put on the back burner. Springfield John Q. Hammons has told the city he won’t build his proposed exposition center in Jordan Valley Park. City officials say Hammons objects to competition from a multipurpose arena. It is still unknown if two other developers would built the expo center, both of whom are also worried about competition.
