The St. Joseph city council is saying “No” to a large proposed pork processing plant. The council has passed a resolution discouraging Seaboard Farms from locating in the area. More than 300 people crowded into Monday’s council meeting to oppose a development that could employ 2,300 plant. They asked for and the council passed a resolution discouraging Seaboard from locating within 100 miles. The resolution passed on a vote of 8-1.
