The Rams have released punter Louie Aguiar, but coach Mike Martz says that does not mean Rick Tuten is guaranteed the team’s punting job. Martz says the Rams will be watching the waiver wire for a punter this week. NFL teams must cut down to 65 players today. The Rams made several cuts Monday, releasing defensive tackle Vince Amey and receiver Phil Savoy. They also waived offensive lineman Andrew Kline, a 7th-round draft pick, with an injury settlement. The Rams signed receiver Chris Thomas who was released by Minnesota. Thomas played on special teams for the Rams last year. St. Louis needs to cut one player today to reach the limit.
