The man who beat his mother to death with a frying pan is headed to prison. Patrick Burton admitted to the 1999 death on Monday. He admitted to striking his mother on the head numerous times after arguing with her. He told the judge he then took money from the women’s purse and left her body on the couch. He didn’t call police until the next day, after sleeping with the body in the same house. The Jackson County judge sentenced Burton to 25 years in prison.
