AG candidates spar over campaign finances

Missourians will vote in November whether to severely limit the money going into state political campaigns, using money from a corporate tax increase to pay for campaigning. Democrat attorney general candidate Jay Nixon favors the concept, if not all of the proposal, although he says the tax that pays for the arrangement muddies an otherwise good proposal. Republican candidate Sam Jones thinks the whole proposition is wrong. The two men spoke at a candidate’s forum in Jefferson City.
