A call for improved women’s health

The Women in Government Task Force has developed a women’s health platform that it hopes both political parties will support this summer. It calls for women to have the same access to care, treatment, diagnostic tests, and knowledge of health risks that men get. State representative Joan Barry, a member of the group, says women have more trouble getting treatment than men do and one reason is that many women don’t actually seek it.
