Missouri delegates are headed home from the democratic convention and M.U. Political Science professor Rick Hardy says they have a tough job ahead. The one-time republican congressional candidate thinks the booming economy is more likely to slow democratic turnout in November. Hardy looks for a barrage of media ads to activate voters, maybe $15 million dollars in the senate campaign alone. The poll numbers in the senate and governor’s races are close, so Hardy expects the ads to turn negative quickly.
